So simple, yet so delicious!
Indulgent and decadent, steak is often viewed as gourmet. On Keto the fat is welcomed and completely satisfying. Add a steamed vegetable and dinner simply doesn’t get any better!
This pan fried steak is not that complicated and will teach you how to perfectly sear and fry steak. I used to dread cooking meat, steak in particular, because I didn’t understand how it works. If my husband has taught me anything, it’s definitely how to properly cook meat! Now, I absolutely enjoy being in the kitchen and providing tasty, moist proteins for my family.
The king of protein - learn how to prepare the perfect steak.
3 Ribeye steaks
Olive oil for frying
Salt and pepper
1 tablespoon butter
1 teaspoon garlic powder
3 cups broccoli
Rinse steaks and pat dry; drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Allow steaks to sit at room temperature.
Rinse broccoli thoroughly and cut into small florets. Place water in a large pan, setting steamer directly over water. Place broccoli in steamer, cover and cook over low to medium heat.
Meanwhile, heat olive oil in a large skillet over high heat. Carefully place steak in hot pan. Sear each side for 1 minute (including the sides of each steak) and carefully flip until all sides have been seared. Reduce heat to medium.
Add 1-2 tablespoons of butter to the pan. Sprinkle steaks with 1 teaspoon garlic powder. Cook steaks until desired doneness is achieved, continuing the one minute cooking intervals.
Remove steaks from heat and allow to rest.
Remove broccoli from heat. Broccoli is bright green and crisp when done. Season with salt, pepper and butter.
Plate, serve and enjoy!
